At Rim Orthodontics, Dr. Paul Rim and his staff are dedicated to creating a pleasing smile, a healthier and more functional bite, comfort and health of the teeth and gum tissues, as well as increased longevity of the teeth. It is very satisfying for us to witness the improved self-esteem and confidence in our patients as they undergo treatment to improve their smiles, whether they’ve sought orthodontic treatment for health, aesthetics, comfort, function, and/or stability.

About Dr. Rim
My positive orthodontic experience as a patient prompted me to pursue a career in Orthodontics. My journey took me to Harvard Dental School where I earned my dental degree and then to UCSF where I received M.S. in Oral Biology and completed Orthodontic Residency to become a certified Orthodontist. I have practiced Orthodontics over 10 years since. It is truly a privilege to be able to contribute to the functionality of my patient's smiles and making a difference in their lives. I cannot think of doing anything else. Seeing the smile transformation of my patients and witnessing their achievements is more rewarding than I ever imagined. I look forward to building a lasting relationship and being part of your lives!
Family Life
My wife, Kay and I have two boys, Mikey and Ryan. We enjoy spending time together biking, skiing & going to the beaches. We also love SF Symphony & visitng museums. In my free time, I enjoy reading about history and riding my bicycle in the neighborhood trails or by the coastside of Monterey. We love cooking & eating Japanese food!
Dedication to the Community
I love and care about the community I live and practice in. My family and I are actively involved in the local school's art & music education. My wife, Kay is one of the Art in Action coordinators for our kids’ school. She also dedicates her time in Special Education Parents Teachers Association of Redwood City (SEPTAR) and offers supports to families with children with special needs. Rim Orthodontics is a proud sponsor of Redwood City Little League & San Carlos Softball League.
I'm always seeking opportunities to improve art and music education at local schools. I also volunteer my time to educate and advocate for good oral hygiene at schools.
